Work closely with the ADLINK sales team on new opportunities and drive solutions to meet customers’ needs which may include carrier designs, semi-custom based ADLINK standard products, and full custom system level solutions. Provide architectural ideas and solutions to meet customers’ requirements. Lead engineering teams responsible for the design of these products from concept through to production launch. The types of designs will vary based on customer, market and company needs but in general can include leading edge next generation x86 processor, ARM based tablets, COM Express, SMARC, and NVIDIA Jetson, carriers, products, or systems.
Essential Job Functions (include, but are not limited to the following):
- Work with the ADLINK sales team to win custom system level design opportunities which will include travel for onsite customer meetings.
- Create customer facing presentation and documentation materials specific to technical content. Do not let the Sales team create this content, this is the responsibility of the TSE.
- Work with Product Sales Management team, when necessary, to support new opportunities that require detailed technical support.
- Create detailed, customer facing, technical proposals, present the proposals to the customer, lead the development of the products based on the proposals, and support the development process until the release the product to production.
- Support customers technical requests and issues, drive to root cause, and bring value to our customers by being responsive to their needs.
- Track and manage Original Design Manufacturer/Design Manufacturing Services+ (DMS+) projects using action trackers to ensure project performance and customer expectations are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules to maintain project timelines.
- Help develop cost of goods sold by working with internal engineering teams, the business units, and DMS+ as appropriate.
- Help develop non-recurring engineering, Tooling, and certification plans.
- Provide regular management reports detailing team metrics including work loading, schedule tracking, project cost tracking, and others as agreed to.
- Correct design techniques and propose best practices.
- This is a remote role, but will need to travel and visit business contacts and to travel globally as required.

Education:
- BSEE is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Ability to work with customers as well as internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with high speed design and debug techniques.
- Familiarity with PC architecture.
- Must be organized through and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
- Ability to use engineering tools to view Schematics and PCB Layouts.
- Ability to use small tools like screw drivers and plyers.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; regularly use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear; and doing things such as analytical work or reports, which requires focus, while utilizing a computer.
- Must be able to operate general office equipment.
- Physical stamina to stand, reach, bend, lift, grasp, and kneel.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
